I can’t say I think this was a good idea …
actually, no. I’m not being diplomatic about this. this was a bad idea. I’m going to go ahead and set aside the fact that I’m for the abolishment of the death penalty — based on the scientific fact that it has absolutely no effect on crime deterrent whatsoever, its archaic and often wrong, therefore leaving the only arguable excuse for it to be vengeance — and point out that it can do more fucking harm than good. they killed him. I mean, really, great fucking example to set for a country with a violence problem.
all of this bullshit about justice and liberty, and the first thing they do is bumrush him through a trial which we all knew had no other possible outcome, and hang his ass immediately afterward.
oh, and I don’t want to hear anything about this being an Iraqi decision. like, “it’s their country, it’s their history, let them choose their own course.”
so somebody. please tell me why this was a good idea. come on. I know one of you fuckin’ scabs thinks its alright.

now usually I’m against the death penalty…
but this certainly was the hitler of our generation…I guess I don’t feel too bad about him dying.
Although, he may have suffered more in jail…I guess I’m torn on this one.
