live from the Brooklyn zoo

I’m watching “The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.” it’s fucking awesome.
best line: “we’ll need your designs for the giant crossbow.”
second best line: “the ship’s hold is filled with the giant crossbow. there’s no more room.”
seriously, it’s a big crossbow.
it’s one of those claymation movies. there’s a cyclops. and right now, Sinbad is putting down a mutinous crew with his motherfucking fists. man, I didn’t know this is how things were done!

I bought “Enter the Wu-Tang” today. and I’d have to say, that was a good call. I don’t know what listening to early 90s hardcore rap says about a person, but say what you will.

okay, now the mutinous crew is being driven mad by sirens. and I’ll say, this movie didn’t hurt for a lack of enthusiasm. I’m totally buying what they’re seling here

I’ve had a weird couple of days. but I no longer care to write about that. instead, I’m going to listen to “Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothing to fuck wit” and watch this Ray Harrhausen flick. cause with that, I know it won’t disappoint.

Sinbad again. this dragon Sinbad is fighting is looking tough as hell. everyone’s getting smoked, but Sinbad. this is the most dangerous motherfucker on the block, man. this is how it was done! I had no idea!

I love Chicago, but I certainly don’t like Mayor Daley, and I hate cops. But I especially hate Chicago Cops.

The Tribune, which obtained a list of complaints against officers departmentwide over the last five years, reported in Wednesday’s editions that 30 officers from the section have been subjects of a total of 862 allegations of brutality and other wrongdoing. The list revealed that the 10 officers with the most complaints in Special Operations had a total of 408 lodged against them. Of those complaints, only three were sustained by the Office of Professional Standards, and just one resulted in a suspension.

“We don’t want [police] to commit any abuse whatsoever to anyone in the city of Chicago, so a lot of people file complaints — rightfully so,” Daley said. “We are one of the few cities that registers complaints. … There’s severe complaints or less severe complaints. Like anything else, you evaluate each one.”

In recent police corruption cases in which officers robbed drug dealers and made false arrests, investigations have revealed the officers had dozens of complaints lodged against them with the Office of Professional Standards over several years that mirrored their crimes.

“We have a very good police department,” Daley declared. “You cannot say there are a few bad apples and write them off just like the media does.

This is also in light of Chicago cop beating the ever-loving shit out of a female bartender which is on video tape and you can find on the internet. And also four off-duty cops beating hell-shit out of four business men at a bar. Which can also be found.

None of the cops will be doing jail time.
